40 Days and 1001 Nights, One Woman's Dance through Life in the Islamic World

US$24.95

In 2005, when Islamaphobia was rampant and fear was driving Americans to not question wars, Tamalyn decided to travel to five Muslim countries, meet local people and see if such fears were warranted. When a reporter she met was looking for suicide bomber schools (and not finding them), Tamalyn was eating food food, going to weddings, and listening to incredible music.

The premise was to spend 40 days in each of 5 Musim countries: Indonesia, Egypt's Siwa Oasis, Zanzibar, Jordan and The Xinjiang Autonomous Region of China, and write a journal of her experiences, as a woman alone, a dancer, and an American.

$19.95 plus $5 postage and handling. Total $24.95
